Contract Teller/Banker

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Contract Teller/Banker to join our team clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members while performing various banking transactions. You will play a vital role in enhancing member satisfaction and supporting the overall mission of our credit union.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and money orders.
  • Assist members with account inquiries, providing information about products and services, and resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Promote credit union products and services to enhance member engagement and support organizational growth.
  • Maintain cash drawers, ensuring accuracy in balancing and adherence to security protocols.
  • Conduct account openings and closings, including savings and checking accounts, and assist members with online banking services.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve branch operations and enhance the overall member experience.
  • Adhere to all regulatory compliance and credit union policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a banking or financial services environment preferred, particularly in a teller or customer service role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficient in using banking software and technology; experience with [specific software, if applicable] is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or business is a plus.
